Invitation - Barcamp RD 2026

Warm greetings from the organizing team of Barcamp RD 2026.

We are pleased to announce the fourteenth edition of this event, which has established itself as a platform for the free, inclusive, and collaborative exchange of knowledge within the tech community of the Dominican Republic.

Barcamp RD 2026 will take place on Saturday, November 14th at the Santiago Campus of the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM). On behalf of the Computer Science Engineering Student Committee and the School of Computer and Telecommunications Engineering, we extend a warm invitation for you to participate as a speaker by submitting an "unconference" talk proposal.


Required Information

In order to facilitate the proposal evaluation process, we ask that you include the following information:

Professional Information

  • Educational level and academic degree.
  • Technical description of your current role or professional experience.
  • Updated professional profile (LinkedIn, personal website, or any other platform that validates your background).
  • Link to GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, or any platform hosting your online portfolio.

Proposal Details & Logistics

  • Confirmation of in-person attendance (the event will not have a virtual option).
  • Materials or technical resources required for your talk.
  • 2×2 headshot photo of the speaker.

In Case of Co-speakers or Guests

  • Please indicate whether you will be presenting alongside another speaker or guest, and include the corresponding professional information for each participant.

Important Notes

  • Participation as a speaker is completely free of charge.
  • Supporting materials for your talk (slides) must be submitted no later than one week before the event.
  • Attendees or companions of the speaker will not be charged if they are only present during that speaker's session. However, if they wish to remain at the event after the session ends, they must have their own ticket or attendee registration.
